Ashley-Rose and Lane Wedding at One & Only Palmilla, Los Cabos

There aren’t enough adjectives in the dictionary to describe just how awesome Ashley-Rose and Lane are. With movie star looks and fun loving, down-to-earth personalities, we knew right away that they were going to be a dream to shoot. While every wedding we work throws up new and exciting challenges for us as videographers, this couple really couldn’t have made it any easier for us. Their special celebration was warm and inclusive, full of Southern charm and just the right sprinkling of Mexican flair. We love, love, love that they chose us to immortalize their moment.

Any fairytale wedding requires a castle, and in this case, Ashley-Rose chose the One and Only Palmilla. Arguably one of the most prestigious luxury resorts in the greater Los Cabos area, Palmilla is renowned for its privacy, making it a longtime favorite of Tinseltown celebrities, jet-setters, and blushing brides. The property seems to emerge from the surrounding landscape, complementing rather than distracting from the ever-changing blues of the Sea of Cortez and the hotel’s impressive internal landscaping. Set amongst manicured lawns and towering palm trees, the resorts Hacienda style architecture and understated Mexican interiors are the perfect canvas on which to bring to life and epic celebration, just as Ashley Rose did.

Our bride chose a romantic, white lace gown with a cinched waist and a full veil. While her dress paid homage to tradition and downright good taste, Ashley injected some modern glam with her intricate drop earrings, sparkling headpiece, and crystal encrusted stilettos. Her flawless, sculptured updo and dusty pink makeup was the work of Blanc Bridal Salon‘s Neysa Berman, who understood Ashley’s personality down to a T and added her own touch of the dramatic with some very glamorous lashes.

Ashley looked every bit the fairytale princess as she arrived at Palmilla’s chapel in a beautiful horse-drawn carriage. No expense was spared when adorning the already gorgeous chapel, as long, entangled vines in creamy pastel shades wound up stairs and through pews, all the way to the altar, a living, breathing secret garden effect. Cabo local Rev. Diego Vidal created a warm and loving ceremony, and the joy and excitement with which Lane looked at Ashley Rose injected their more traditional “in richer and in poorer’s” with very real emotion.

So how do you top a romantic, whimsical and fairytale inspired wedding ceremony fit for a modern-day princess? With a banging party to boot! Ashley and Lane focused the following festivities on their family and friends, serving fruity cocktails and Palmilla’s 5-star cuisine. Guests were treated to an upbeat Mexican string trio performance, scrumptious wedding cake and world-renowned Los Cabos hospitality. Ashley’s non-traditional father/daughter dance made us smile from ear to ear, and her dad couldn’t have looked happier. While this celebration of soulmates was very much our couple’s doing, they did have help, employing Palmilla’s onsite coordinator and phenomenal wedding planner Ruth Flores to put their ideas into practice.

Ashley Rose and Lane’s wedding day was nothing more than a work of art, proving that a truly successful wedding event lies in the creation of a living canvas of emotion, energy, and interaction. It’s a Monet on the wall of the Louvre brought to life, aesthetics and very careful planning animated by real-life love, genuine emotion, and an unbeatable sense of humor. We can’t thank you enough Ashley Rose and Lane and hope to capture more of your milestones in years to come.

Jodie and Kike’s Wedding Film at Acre Baja, Los Cabos, Mexico

Jodie and Kike: A Multicultural Celebration at Acre Baja, Los Cabos, Mexico

Lately, we have been spending a lot of time at the voguish Acre Baja, and what’s not to love about the location! For Australian Jodie and Puerto Rican Kike it was love at first sight. Fast forward to 2018 and the couple chose Los Cabos in which to make it official, a point somewhere close to halfway between their respective hometowns. With guests traveling from all over the world to witness the occasion, we knew we were about to be a part of something very special.

The couple’s gorgeous ceremony setup reminded us of a modern day fairytale. Curious, jewel-toned peacocks and one rather adorable burro looked on from a distance as guests took their places on Acre’s lawn terrace. While the restaurant’s stunning architecture and naturally beautiful landscapes make it a favorite amongst brides looking to cut back on the decoration budget, Jodie’s exquisite taste was evident in the romantic, calico-draped wooden altar by Elena Damy, whose beautiful arrangements of white and green paid homage to the raw and natural, and perfectly complemented the scenery. Jodie and her groom had chosen to calm their nerves by scheduling a quick, pre-ceremony first look, which did nothing to mask the emotion in Kike’s eyes as his bride appeared in her boho-inspired, white lace gown and natural waves come ceremony time. The modern duo chose to say their “we will’s” rather than their “I do’s”, and their personal vows to one another left few dry eyes in the house.

Acre’s impressive body of worker bees swung right into gear post-ceremony, as guests were escorted to the nearby pool terrace for cocktails and appetizers that must be experienced to be believed. Keeping in tune with the couple’s vision, wooden tones and accents of white and green completed the simple decor, and a traditional mariachi ban injected some Mexican spirit into the air.

What do you get when you bring together a rowdy, fun-loving cast of Aussies, a passionate bunch of Puerto Ricans, and a healthy handful of Parisians, Canadians, Americans, Brits and Hong Kongers, all in one of Mexico’s most renowned party towns? You get a wedding reception nothing short of epic! Guests were warned early on that a refusal to hit the dance floor meant no more food or alcohol, but let’s face it, they didn’t need much encouraging. Acre’s Mango Orchard was the natural choice for the festivities, complete with a traditional Mexican tiled floor, rolling lawns, and twinkling market lights. The impressive tablescapes were carefully put together by Elena Damy, while DJ Alex made sure the tunes kept coming well into the night.

A very large and heartfelt thank you to coordinator Claudia Morales, from Elena Damy Destination Weddings, whose eye for detail and organization makes working weekends such a pleasure! Pulling off a destination wedding event truly is a team effort, and we are thankful to all involved.

We love love stories, and there is something very special about couples like Jodie and Kike, who seem to beat all odds and find each other at just the right time, on just the right rooftop, somewhere far from home.

Lydia and Cyrus Wedding Film at Paradisus Los Cabos, Mexico

Lydia and Cyrus chose the month of June to celebrate their nuptials, and Los Cabos’ famous climate did nothing to disappoint. Warm days and cooler nights, fiery sunsets and breathtaking scenery: this cute couple’s guests were in for an epic weekend celebrating love, friendship and the future. Lydia and Cyrus combined elements of their Chinese heritage with decidedly Western details, and the result was nothing short of spectacular.

Honing in on the perfect location can be a daunting task for even the savviest of couples, but Lydia and Cyrus hit the nail on the head with their selection! The jaw-dropping Paradisus hotel provided the perfect backdrop, with onsite wedding coordinator Fernanda Torres taking care of the all-important details. Paradisus is renowned for its sandy beaches, crystal blue waters and lapping waves, all of which set the scene for the romance to come.
What struck our team from the moment we turned on our cameras was the genuine love and commitment Lydia and Cyrus felt for one another. Lydia’s infectious laughter, punctuated by tears of nervous joy, was evident from the get-go, as she tapped her groom on the shoulder during the first look. Cyrus’ nerves got the better of him too, as he turned to meet his beautiful bride. Wearing a white lace and nude gown fit for a princess, Lydia’s relaxed waves and natural makeup made her the perfect destination bride, and Cyrus’ seal of approval was written all of his smiling face.  After a few moments of alone time (and quite a few special tears), it was time to get down to the formalities.
Bride and groom chose to go back to basics when it came to their wedding decor, opting for natural wooden tones and accents of ivory, pale pink and green to complete their ceremony setup. The result was a synchronization of classic romance and natural beauty that fueled our creativity, without distracting from the gorgeous couple in front of our lense. With vows made and congratulations given, Lydia and Cyrus were ready to show their guests a good time. Attention to detail was paramount to the success of this celebration. Lydia mirrored the tone of her stunning stilettos with her tan, luggage tag escort cards, and the dazzling fireworks at cake cutting painted a pretty picture that we managed to capture for eternity.
So what did Lydia and Cyrus teach us? You just have to love love!

Lena and Rick’s Wedding Film at The Cape, a Thompson Hotel, Los Cabos, Mexico

While romance abounds at all of the destination weddings we are lucky enough to capture, Lena and Rick’s celebration of love in Cabo San Lucas took romance to another level.  Hosted at the stunning and contemporary The Cape, and by the hand of Vivid Occasions Wedding Team, this fun loving couple married against the backdrop of the brilliant Sea of Cortez and the famous Los Cabos cacti, in a ceremony that was both heartfelt and memorable.

We began our day shooting a moment we LOVE to capture, the first look! Lena quietly tapped Rick on the shoulder to announce her arrival, as her eager guests looked on from an upstairs balcony, anxious to witness the private moment. With their nerves somewhat eased, the ceremony was underway. Against a romantic wooden archway decorated with touches of white, cream and ivory (beautiful work by Florenta), Lena and Rick wiped away tears to read personal vows and seal their union.  The bride’s intricately buttoned train and the groom’s dapper suit and boutonniere, are evidence of the attention to detail and outright good taste that made their day so special.

Continuing to wow their guests, Lena and Rick took the party upstairs to The Cape’s trendy Rooftop Bar. Dinner took place in a setting that combined the clean lines and natural, wooden elements of the hotel, with the femininity of roses and orchids. Details such as personalized fireworks, enthusiastic dancing and some warm-hearted speeches from parents and bridal party meant our team of cinematographers were never a moment without material. Lena and Rick paid close attention to music, choosing Cabo’s uber talented Kilometro band to keep everyone on the dance floor, along with a special performance on keyboard from the groom’s best man.

After all is said and done, we had a blast shooting Lena and Rick’s big day. A special shout out to my talented team at Cinematic Touch, along with The Cape’s warm and welcoming staff!

Hasta pronto!

Ashley and Andy Wedding at Acre Los Cabos, Mexico

More often than not, it’s the couple that chooses Los Cabos. In Ashley and Andy’s case, we believe the location chose the couple! While Los Cabos offers stunning backdrops for destination to-do’s, Ashley and Adam took standard protocol to another level, involving the landscape and culture (Acre Baja is renowned for its contemporary ambience fused with rural / organic landscapes), as well as their personal vows, into a ceremony and reception worthy of royalty. As their celebrant so aptly commented, “tale as old as time”, with a twist. These love birds met at work, connected over their love of music and ended up in a real life fairytale, wedged between the sparkling Sea of Cortez and the sandy desserts of Los Cabos. Personal touches were here, there and everywhere, making this a celebration of love and commitment that we are more than honored to have been a part of.

A more stylish bride is difficult to come by, and fashion Everyday Pursuits blogger / Instagram genius Ashley (Visit her blog clicking here) didn’t disappoint, changing her stunning gowns not once, not twice, but three times! After an emotion charged getting ready session at El Ganzo, Puerto Los Cabos, Ashley moved her first and foremost to the stunningly beautiful Acre Baja. Jewel toned peacocks and the now famous, furry burrito set the scene, as Ashley wiped away tears totell her groom “I can’t remember when i didn’t love you”.

There wasn’ta dry eye in the house when Adam responded “I’m a better person when Im with you”.

The A PLUS A BIG DAY is complete with phrases and commentaries more suited to a Hollywood blockbuster, but our favorite? When the happy couple reiterate, “we got this!”.

After the gorgeous ceremony coordinated and designed by the lovely and talented Amy Abbot, guests and bridal party enjoyed a scrumptious dinner and dance party at Acre’s Mango Orchard. Careful attention to the selection of music (set by our friend DJ ALEX) and decorational elements, along with the couple’s obvious zest for all things family and friends made this a celebration to rival the best of the best!

And Ashley has famously commented “can we do it again?”… our answer is yes, we are ready when you are!

Special thanks to our Gina & Ryan photography!  Always a pleaure working with such a talented and easy going photographers!

Much love,

Meggan and Kyle Wedding at Cabo Azul Resorts, Los Cabos

This time we had the opportunity to cover the wedding of one of the creators of the fashion blog Somewhere lately at Cabo Azul Resorts

I normally don´t describe much on this blog posts since I like to think you take some minutes to watch the film…  I could describe their decoration, the resort, the party, or say about how this couple is perfect for each other, but at the end, I really hope the film reflect it all!  So, please take a little time to enjoy this love story,

From Meggan and Kyle

We just got our wedding video back and we’re blown away! They were such a pleasure to work with and really exceeded our expectations. Thank you so much for giving us this video that we will cherish forever.

Leah and Jason Wedding at Dreams Los Cabos Suites & Golf Resort & Spa

We had the opportunity to work with Leah and Jason thanks to the mother of the bride… Teresita contacted us around 5 months before the wedding and all contact was always with her.  We actually knew the couple until the wedding day and, you know what?  It was like we already knew them.  Teresita made us feel like if we were friends from long time ago since the very beginning.  Maybe was that…

Also, Leah and Jason´s family and friends are warm, kind, and fun.  They extend all this qualities to the people around them so, it felt familiar.

Don´t miss the father of the bride piece of advise!  It is the BEST I have ever heard!  😉
